I just remembered that I forgot to explain my name. Wait. Can you remember you forgot something? Because… if you forgot then… what is there to… never mind. English is hard and I’m still a puppy.
Anyway. I said I’d explain my name: “CedarWoods’ Seven Cups of Stardust.” So even though I go by “Dusty”, that name is what we call a “registered” name at the AKC (American Kennel Club) that makes me unique amongst other possible dogs and Dusty’s out there.
The first part is easy; “CedarWoods” is where I was born, so my name starts with that.
“Seven” pays respect to the fact that I am the 7th dog to live with my mom and dad, and coincidentally, I was the 7th puppy born of the litter (ie, the last of seven — it was a long wait let me tell you.)
“Stardust” comes from mom and dad liking the name Dusty and dad trying lots of words to find a good one he could use for the nickname “Dusty.” Also, lots of CedarWoods dogs have natural phenomena in their names. My mom was “Bluemoon Shin on our Bay,” and I’ve got cousins named “Rock Mesa Wind on Fire” and “Autumn Prairie Wind” and other cool stuff. So Stardust fit and kept the tradition.
Then he added, “Cups of” just to tie it all together with a bit of flair.
So that’s me. Seven Cups of Stardust, born at CedarWoods. Cool huh?
My sister Raven is just Raven. I think she used to be a bird or something. 😛
