Iowa Trip

Apparently one of the drawbacks of working remotely is that dad has to return to the actual office a few times a year.  That office is in Iowa, so he always goes for a whole week.

As it happens, he needs to go back this week, so my crazy life with mom and dad so far has been:

  • Bring me to my new home.
  • Three days later, go to Oklahoma.
  • Come back home for a week.
  • Go to Iowa for a week.

I’m not totally convinced we’re not nomads or something.

Anyway, because I’m pretty young and can’t spend a long time in my kennel, and because mom has to work several of the days when dad will be out of town — I got to go to Iowa with him!

My personal kennel in our hotel room!
I like this spot better.

I spent each day with a friend of theirs, and then went back to the hotel with dad every night.

While I was there I had a bunch of adventures:

  • I learned that even though dad drops me off in the morning, he always comes back and gets me a few weeks or hours later.
  • We went to Scheels to walk around and meet people, and it turned out that Santa was visiting and there were about a zillion kids there.  I got to meet a lot of kids and parents!  (Hopefully the kids hadn’t just asked Santa for a new puppy just before they rounded the corner and found me.)
  • We went to dad’s office and I got to ride the elevator and meet a bunch of people.
  • We went for walks around the hotel grounds each morning, and proved that I could sleep through the night every time AND get up and walk all the way down the hall and down the stairs and through the lobby and outside to do my business in the morning.

Here are a bunch of photos from the trip, in no particular order even though they mostly happened in this order.
